Here we have this great Mercedes Sprinter LWB that’s only covered 50,000 miles from new. This van is undergoing a full camper conversion into CMH Sport 1 with large garage at the rear for a motorcycle or mountain bikes. This campervan will sleep 4 people and travel 5 all in forward facing seats. This is unusual with most companies building campers can easily make it sleep 4 but no way of getting more than 3 people in the travelling van at once.
I have a young family so I know the importance of this having to work as a campervan and a sports camper. New addition to the van is some Black Rhino 17″ Alloy Wheels with 235/65/17 General Grabber All Terrain tyres. This looks great and never going have grip problem’s on a winter camping trip. We have a large solar panel on the roof powering the battery so it can provide and store all its own power with NEVER any need for electric hook up. there is a power point in the side of the van just in case you ever wanted to have hook up power. Highly unlikely you will ever need it but always nice to know its there. We have tried and tested this on a VW Transporter that we had built and camping with the family for a week in Cornwall was a joy with no power shortage at all. This camper build has a large single garage at the rear to fit a motorcycle or a number of mountain bikes with ease with loads more room for extra storage.
We have a double bed above this garage to make the most of the space inside the van. We have a 80ltr fridge so more than enough room for food on long trips away. In front of the fridge we have our dinette which also converts into a small double bed with double 3 point seat belts and forward facing. We have so much cupboard space in this build that you can literally take the kitchen sink with you, not that you have to as this one has a sink and twin burner in the worktop. It has a full height cupboard above the fridge and over head lockers above the cab and down both sides of the van. Next to the garage we have a large walk in cupboard or it could be used as a toilet its completely up to you. To the rear of that going in from the rear doors is the control area with all the fuse box, control panel for the solar power supply and access to the battery. All this is nice and easy to access from the rear of the van its something you wont need to do often so in the back saves on space.
This van is an ongoing project and we will try and update progress on the build as we go. If you need any information sooner then feel free to contact me and we can talk through what it is you are looking for and talk through the design process. We can convert your van or supply and build you a full campervan to your own specification. More pictures will be uploaded soon as we can.
